KSK Energy Ventures leads gainer in group "A". Tata Motors recovered from early slide. Profit booking took place after a 3 % rally on 2^nd Sep 2008, previous trading session. Traders were cautious ahead of Inflation figures and NSG meet today. Realty shares were the worst hit, whereas IT and HC shares bucked weak trend.

BSE Sensex ended down 150.76 points or 1.00 % at 14,899.10. BSE Midcap ended down 7.84 points or 0.13 % at 5,829.17. BSE Smallcap ended down 8.02 points or 0.11 % at 6,974.37.

Nifty ended down 56.25 points or 1.25 % at 4,447.75.

IT ended up 18.77 points or 0.46 % at 4,085.70. Moser Baer ended up Rs. 10.05 or 9.47 % at Rs. 116.20, Aptech ended up Rs. 9.75 or 4.25 % at Rs. 239.35. Whereas Mphasis ended down Rs. 2.00 or 0.82 % at Rs. 242.45, Wipro ended down Rs. 3.00 or 0.67 % at Rs. 448.10.
HC ended up 11.95 points or 0.28 % at 4,350.18. Sunpharma Adv ended up Rs. 4.20 or 4.38 % at Rs. 100.10, Wockhardt ended up Rs. 8.60 or 4.25 % at Rs. 211.00. Whereas Orchid Chem ended down Rs. 4.05 or 1.60 % at Rs. 249.35, Sun Pharma ended down Rs. 20.10 or 1.31 % at Rs. 1,510.95.
Auto ended up 3.38 points or 0.08 % at 4,040.95. Maruti Suzuki ended up Rs. 19.45 or 2.93 % at Rs. 683.90, Cummins India ended up Rs. 5.25 or 1.65 % at Rs. 323.85. Whereas Amtek Auto ended down Rs. 7.50 or 3.99 % at Rs. 180.45, Bosch ended down Rs. 139.30 or 3.44 % at Rs. 3,909.05.
